Febrary: National Pet Dental Health Month

FEBRUARY IS NATIONAL PET DENTAL HEALTH MONTH

We want to take this opportunity to remind you that 85% of cats and dogs suffer from dental disease. Not only can dental disease be very painful, but it can also lead to many life threatening problems such as heart failure and kidney disease. By taking care of your pet’s dental health, you can actually increase their life span by up to five years!

In honor of National Pet Dental Health Month we are offering the following specials during the month of February

FREE DENTAL EXAM: Bring your cat or dog in for a free dental exam. The doctor will examine your pet's teeth to determine if your pet has dental disease. If not, we will discuss the best at-home-dental-care plan for your pet and show you how to get started caring for your dog or cat's teeth. If your pet has dental disease we will discuss with you the necessary treatment and give you an estimate for the procedure.

FREE FULL-MOUTH DENTAL X-RAYS: If your pet comes in for a dental prophylaxis in February, we provide full-mouth dental x-rays at no charge. X-rays allow the doctor to better assess the severity of dental disease in your pet's mouth, often exposing problems that were not visible above the gum line.

FREE RE-CHECK EXAM AND TRAINING SESSION: In addition to full-mouth dental x-rays, after your pet has had a professional cleaning we will provide a 14 day re-check exam at no charge to you. During this visit the doctor will check your pet's mouth to be sure that all is well to begin a brushing regime. Then one of our experienced veterinary nurses will teach you the proper method of brushing your pet's teeth and give you some tips to make sure the process is as simple for you and your pet as possible. This visit will also give us the opportunity to answer any questions that you may have and to discuss the other options available for home dental care.

We hope that everyone will take advantage of this offer and bring their four-legged friends in for their free dental exam. Please give us a call to make an appointment so that we may serve you best when you arrive.  415-499-VETS (8387)
